It's interesting to finally see the other side of the story. Nicholas Hoult does an awesome job of acting dead but still "kind of" alive. At first R's life is rather depressing and theres not much to look forward to each day. That is until he meets the girl. All at once, the story goes for a funny twist. With some romeo juliet and titantic going on, the morbidly funny zombies end up in a somewhat cheesy love story.
Maybe because I'm supposed to be on a diet but the toasted garlic bagel I'm eating tastes SO good right now. I like garlic flavored foods but I don't like eating garlic itself. Anyone else like that too?
1. Fruttare mango bar
It is supposedly made from real fruit pulp so it has a rich mango taste. With less than 60 calories per bar you can worry less and enjoy the yummy goodness!
2. Vitasoy black bean soy milk
Soy milk is said to be a good alternative for those who are lactose intolerant. Plus it's great for skin. Black beans are proven in some studies to provide even more health benefits than regular soy beans. This drink tastes really similar to the regular vitasoy milk. Probably because of the sugars they use. In addition to buying these box drinks you can also make it at home, preparation + cooking time is close to two hours.
3. Matcha pocky
I was at Mitzuwa last week and there was this whole display of everything green tea ><. Of course I could not resist and picked up a few goodies. Everyone had been raving about the green tea kit kats but I personally find them a little too sweet. However these matcha pocky sticks are delicious. They have the green tea ice cream taste unlike the kit kats which has more of a frosting flavor.
4. Barley Tea
This tea can be served hot or cold. It is excellent for keeping cool and hydrated on a summer day. I reuse the amazon tea gallons and fill it half way with filtered water. Then I would just drop one of the tea bags in and let it sit overnight. My parents refuse to turn on the AC until it hits the 90s so this is the alternative to eating too much ice cream and drinking to many sugary drinks.
I also drew a comic about it. Click here for the link :)
5. The End Game - http://www.playtheend.com/game
The coolest personality test I've seen! As with all of these related tests they won't be completely accurate but the concept for this one is pretty unique. You get to create your own character and at the end of each level you will get a knowledge quote and a philosophical dilemma. The game tracks your answers and gives you the results at The End. The questions are divided into 3 catagories: mind, body and spirit.
6. Watercolor paintings
Something about eyes has always been very attracting to me. Whether it may be kind, sweet, or scary its usually one of the first things I notice when I meet someone new. This speed painting video is so mesmerizing to watch. I wonder if I will be able to create such a beautiful piece. She makes the blending of the colors look so easy.
The Pentel Arts Pocket Brush Pen is awesome for comic illustrations. I've just used it on a comic for my doodle tumblr blog and the image came out great. I first created the boxes then sketched with a pencil. Then I traced over the drawing with the brush pen and erased any visible pencil marks. The brush is very versatile and can create thick to fine lines. It takes some control but with practice it can be a very handy tool. For some touch ups I also used a Sharpie pen. The pen I ordered from amazon comes with one refill (the pen does not have an ink cartridge in it).
The comic that I drew and scanned into the computer:
So I came across this website photojojo.com and found these super cool phone lenses. But they were a bit too pricey for me. So I found a cheaper version of the wide and macro lens on amazon - LE Detachable 0.67X Wide Angle Macro Lens for $5. I will upload pictures shortly once I get a chance to use the lens.
It has been awhile again since I last blogged. I don't know, I just haven't been feeling the need to blog. I guess it's kind of difficult when you don't have a reason to do something other than just for the fun of it. But since I'm on summer break now and I start work on the 17th, I have a whole bunch of free time. First it will help me get me writing again because who actually writes short stories and stuff (of that sort) as a business major? I've also completely stopped reading books which is sad and getting myself to turn off the computer to sit and read is harder than I thought. Remember that book called Outliers that I said I was excited to read several months ago? Yeah, I have not read one page. All I did was make a cover for it ><. Well anyways, I hope to make the most of this summer, whether it may be to just relaxing or actually accomplishing something haha :) because this is will be the last college summer break I will ever have. Sho sadd :<
Here are some of my plans:
blog more!
ultimate summer league - need to start moving again
take acrylic painting classes?
watch Arrested Development
learn different strumming patterns for the ukulele
read some books
start a blog about my internship?
practice the piano
learn some of moms dishes
Some pictures from spring break in St. Simon's Island in Georgia!
I always lose myself every once in awhile, lose determination to be my very best. It is so so easy to get distracted. To be in a whatever kind of mood all the time. But the thing is, there is a certain time for that and I really need to learn how to control it. And then there's the opposite, at times I become too absorbed. I start caring too much. Which I've learned makes people very uncomfortable haha, sighh. And so, I will tone down a bit. Maybe things will just mend itself over time.
But anyways, it's time for me to explore, to have fun, and to truly feel comfortable being me :)
Recently I've been feeling very alive, proactive, productive; I've been taking risks and stepping out of my comfort zone. Life feels exciting, meaningful and overall just..better.
After breaking out of my "shell", I realized that meeting new people is so much fun! It is rather nerve racking to converse with a stranger, not knowing really how to approach things, without being too awkward. It's a bit better in a study group because there is a common interest, a goal to achieve, a point for you to be there. But when you meet someone, a complete stranger, just out of the blue..it kind of just throws you off. Never have I ever felt so nervous but at the same time, eerily relaxed? I am not even sure. But I was definitely in a zone, nothing else really mattered. And just like that, 4 hours flew by. It went by so fast that it felt unreal, like it never happened. I wonder what kind of impression I made. Will we meet again?
Finally bought this book at B&N yesterday. Hadn't started reading it yet, but considering the many case studies I have to read for Business Ethics on top of the normal textbook reading. It will take me much longer to complete and appreciate.
Maybe I'll take a break from work and start with a couple of pages to go with my smoothie, yumm :d
Strawberry, Banana, Green Tea Smoothie
2 Bananas
1 box of Strawberries
Packet of Green Max Matcha Milk
1 Cup of water
Blend!
I've recently reverted back to using Safari from chrome. Not that chrome has anything wrong with it, I just came upon it loading very slowly all the time and hadn't had the time to figure out whats wrong. Anyhow, I discovered this option in Safari called "Reader." It's an excellent view option that takes away all the ads, useless clutter and gives you, in a larger font the important contents of the page. I see that it really helps me focus and generally easier on the eyes. Unfortunately, it's not available for all webpages, but a majority of them are adaptable. Just click on the grey [reader] button next to the refresh symbol ( it's in your address bar ).
We all probably know why we should recycle. But since it hasn't affected us directly, we don't see how the small changes we make, can actually make a HUGE difference. We may think, it's only a couple bottles a week and I mostly use a thermos so that's helping right? If everyone did the same, it is now not only a couple bottles a week, but thousands and millions of bottles. So think again, small actions CAN make big changes.

I first go through the highlights of that day. I remember certain images and I play through them kind of like a mini-movie. Once I reach certain thoughts, sometimes it goes off on a tangent. Soon I catch myself thinking way back into the past or way into an imagined future. What can I do now that will make my future come true? How can I be sure what I'm doing now is what I want to do 5 years from now? I know I can't just stop and do nothing till I miraculously "know" what I want to do for the rest of my life. Where can I muster up the determination, motivation and perseverance for my last 3 semesters?
By combining equal parts passion and engineering, eliminating unnecessary parts and multiplying the amount of useful features, coloud brings you highly durable headphones that just makes sense.
I ordered Coloud The Knock headphones in grey/red but its more of a pink than red. I actually read a couple reviews before purchasing it off Fab so mostly no surprises. The main thing I was worried about was the comfort. I've always had problems with headphones giving me headaches if I wore them too long, which is the main reason why I was hesitant on buying these. However the functionality and minimalist design of the headphones made me give it a second thought.
PROs
They are indeed really light. The headphones feature a tangle free system with flat cables. The plug can also be used to secure the cable together for storage (pictured on the bottom right). The mic/remote can be used to pick/hang up calls and control music. Overall, these are great casual headphones that offer surprisingly awesome sound at an affordable price.
CONs
The headphones give me a slight headache. However, most headphones have this problem, they need time to be stretched out. Although mine have stretched out a bit, it still gives me a dull headache. The cushioning is starting to have the indentation from my ear (as weird as that sounds lol). Hopefully they will feel more comfortable as I wear them more. The other con I was worried about, was that if I were to turn up the volume, can people hear what I'm listening to? Unfortunately, the answer is yes. But so far that hasn't been a huge problem for me.
Update:
They don't give me a headache at all. The cushioning has dented (forms around the shape of my ear) which seems to be normal, doesn't cause any trouble. I originally wanted to wear these outdoors but because of winter clothes and all the layers, I end up pulling on the cable and it slides off easily. Maybe I'll take them outside once it's warmer.
Hello, I haven't been here for a whole semester! Now that I'm on winter break, theres going to be some refreshening soon. Definitely some new material coming up about organizing notes, note taking, self reflections and some fun random topics like reading body language and such.
Recently I've been browsingFab.com a lot. It's a website that allows many brands and companies to sell things on their site. Fab offers an array of products from headphones to kitchen supplies to unique gifts. You can also get receive a $10 credit from the Facebook Wrapp App. So be sure sign up!
I've recently purchased the Coloud Knock Headphones (in grey red) from Fab. A review and tech specs will be up soon as well, so stay tuned :D
I also found this Matcha Green Tea Latte by Mocafe mix on Fab. Should I get it??
